Perhaps the most visited area and city in all of the United States, New York City is actually the most populous city in America. In addition, the City was also the capital of the United States for only five years between 1785 and 1790. Throughout its history, though, New York City has always had a prominence throughout the world, and today it is a major financial hub as well as international hub since the United Nations is located directly in the city.

New York City is usually known as "The City that Never Sleeps," and among some of the things that keeps the inhabitants of the area busy is professional sports, concerts, national conferences in the area as well as various other important events.
